Before the very first game back in 2001, Owlpix was documenting Coach Schnellenberger’s efforts to bring football to Florida Atlantic University. 125 games and nearly 13,000 photos later, Owlpix had eight photographers shooting thousands of photos at last Saturday’s historic event. After the editing process we ended up with over 1100 images! FAU President Mary Jane Saunders and Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger switched on the lights to FAU’s new on-campus stadium for the first time last night. With just 72 days until the stadium’s opening, it was another important milestone in meeting the deadline for completing the “House That Howard Built.” Read more at FAUowlsaccess.com

FAU’s Alfred Morris was added to the Doak Walker Award watch list this week. “It’s a nice list to be on and when I heard I was on it I wanted to do some research on him and the award, but I had class,” said the junior running back, who led the conference and set a school record with 1,392 yards rushing last season. “I’m going to be looking it up, though.”
